Foreign Exchange

Ari ani, I taught my MB 2K blajar 'Foreign Exchange'. At first introduce apa 'Foreign Exchange' ani & told the students that this is a very simple sub-topic, so that they have a positive thinking towards Maths.

Then give a simple example.
For example B$100 = RM$230, If I want to go to Miri and want to exchange B$250 to RM$. Find the RM$?

Step 1: Copy the exchange rate.
B$100 = RM$230

Step 2: Write the money u want to exchange (Make sure that B$ u want to exchange under the B$ above, then the unknown RM$ be x)

B$100 = RM$230

B$250 = RM$x

Step 3: Then Cross multiply, mun nda faham... yg RM$x atu naikkan k atas k kiri & yg B$250 atu naikkan k atas k kanan... Jgn lupa... naikkan atu ertinya d kali tu ah...

B$100 x RM$x = RM$230 x B$250

Step 4: We want to find RM$x.... Right? so move B$100 to right hand side... Jadi bahagi tu ah...

RM$x = (RM230 x B$250)/B$100

= RM$575
